The 12th Regatta will commence on the 25th of September 2022 with registration at the club house of the Nautical Club of Leros near Lakki, Leros, and a subsequent Skippers’ meeting at 16:30 PM also at the club house. The race will start on September 26th with a course from Lakki to Lipsi. The second day’s race course will be from Lipsi to Agathonisi and on the third day the fleet will race back to Lakki. The results will be published here after each race. There will be a prize-giving ceremony with dinner and entertainment at the clubhouse premises on Wednesday the 28th of September. The participation fee will be 150 € per boat (including skipper) plus 40 € for each additional crew member, to be paid at the registration. The dinner at the prize-giving ceremony is included in the fee.
For the pre-registration process there is a simplified and user-friendly rating application form and process. Skippers are requested to pre-register by filling in and submitting the online Entry Form latest by September 16th.
Boats without a valid ORC certificate are required to submit the duly filled-in Entry Form and the GSR Rating Form in order to be provided with a GSR Rating. The Organizing Committee cannot guarantee GSR Rating in case a Rating Form is submitted later than September 16th. Each boat can only participate in one class. The minimum number of boats in a class is four. The total number of boats is limited to 25
The International Göran Schildt Regatta (GSR) is a three-day event that combines sailboat racing with varied cultural programmes. It has been called The Friendship Regatta. It is open to offshore racing boats but aims, first and foremost, at attracting cruising boats from different countries. Although the racing element is present, companionship and social aspects are the primary objectives for many participants. The 2022 GSR is the 12th regatta to be sailed in the waters of the North Dodecanese Sea, Greece. The start and finish port is Lakki at Leros.
The race will start on September 26th with a course from Lakki to Lipsi. The second day’s racecourse will be from Lipsi to Agathonisi and on the third day the fleet will race back to Lakki.
